Oh my goodness! I am absolutely thrilled to interview you today! It’s wonderful to connect with someone from my old neck of the woods, and I have to say how much I admire you. You are truly inspiring to so many people, and I can’t wait to share your story!
Please tell us everyone your name:
Sure, my name is Enjoli Rountree
Can you tell us your age, please?
46 years old.
Next Chapter: When I say my age out loud, i’m like, how did we end up in our mid-40s already? Is this really happening? Where am I?
Next Chapter: What about you? Do you feel “older”—or is age just a mindset?
I believe age is a mindset. I have realized that life is mental. My mindset is on reverse aging. I have been told that I look younger now that I am focused on self-love through self-care. I speak to my cells and thank them often. I am creating my own narrative of what getting older/wiser looks like.
Next Chapter: I love this! Recently, I’ve started thanking the universe each day for the gift of another day. I make it a point to express my gratitude to the universe for each new day.
Next Chapter: How do you earn a living or support yourself right now?
I am a Keynote/Inspirational Speaker, Comedian, Poet, Host, Reiki Master, and Ordained Ministress. With LOVE and LEVITY, I help others recognize that with self-responsibility comes great self-empowerment. I share personal experiences, revelations, and transformational tools through my website: www.iremember.love.
Next Chapter: Girl, you’re absolutely killing it! Love seeing your hustle and all the amazing things you share online.
Next Chapter: Do you have a side hustle? Haha, I’m not sure how you’d even have the time, but I just had to ask!
Yes!, last year, I was inspired to build the foundation of iremember.love I created a podcast and meditation channel on YouTube and Spotify: @irememberlove I have a series called “10 Min Tidbits of Transformational Tools,” where I share my revelations about topics that are important for living a loving, joyful life. I also launched an apparel line called iremember.love Heart Core Apparel and More. This line aims to help people remember who they are and radiate it from their heart chakra.
I was inspired to create this apparel line over 20 years ago after seeing a coworker wear a shirt that said, “I’m having a bad day!” It made me think about the energy we project and how it can affect our entire day. Here I am, over 20 years later, finally launching a dream I’ve had for a long time!
Next Chapter: I truly believe that speaking your intentions into existence attracts that energy into your life. There’s always time to make a positive change. Wearing a shirt that projects negative energy not only affects you but also influences others. Instead, wearing something like a “HAVE A NICE DAY” t-shirt can spread positivity and uplift both yourself and those around you, and turn that bad day around. It really is that simple.
Next Chapter: Is there a topic you wish people talked about more openly?
Self-care is a passion of mine. People often talk about self-care, but do they realize its deeper layers? We aren’t just talking about manicures and bubble baths. It’s about stopping, looking within, and listening. Simple self-care actions, like taking the time to go to the bathroom without your phone, are vital. Those moments can be used to check in with ourselves and express gratitude.
Next Chapter: Absolutely, self-care is more than just pampering. It’s about pausing, reflecting, and connecting with yourself. Simple steps like putting away your phone for a moment, help you tune in.
Next Chapter: What’s one important lesson you’ve learned at this stage of your life?
I recently celebrated three years of alcohol freedom. I took full responsibility for myself and walked away from alcohol cold turkey. This journey has taught me that self-love through self-care is essential for true happiness.
Next Chapter: Congratulations on three years! That’s so amazing! Good for you!
Next Chapter: How would you describe your love life now, and has it changed as you’ve gotten older?
I have been in a loving relationship for almost 28 years. My now husband and I grew up together; we were childhood sweethearts. Despite going through long-distance phases, we now live together and are grateful for our bond. However, I’ve learned that relationships are a journey, and I focus on taking care of myself and being a great example of what it means to be chosen.
Next Chapter: Congrats to you both! 28 years is a long time and quite the accomplishment as well.
Next Chapter: So, what’s the plan? What are your dreams or goals for the next five years?
I am on a mission to strengthen my connection to spirit and allow the love of the universe to guide me. I aim to enhance my work as an inspirational speaker and expand my podcast’s reach.
Next Chapter: If you’re ever in need of a guest speaker, I’d be thrilled to join you on your podcast! I’m so excited to listen and see what you have in store, my friend.
Next Chapter: What’s been the hardest part about this chapter of your life?
Having someone close to me walk away from our relationship has been challenging. It’s a hard reality to face, but I send them love and hope for future reconnection.
Next Chapter: I’m truly sorry to hear that. Letting go of what no longer serves us is vital, even when it’s painful. I hope you both can overcome this hurdle, but if it proves too heavy, remember that it may simply be time to turn the page and embrace your next chapter.
Next Chapter: What are some highlights or proud moments from your journey?
I have lost over 80 lbs. and rehabilitated my body, mind, and spirit. I feel like a newborn baby safe in my loving authenticity. Creating a self-care practice called “Magical Mornings” has helped set a positive tone for my days.
Next Chapter: Wow! Losing 80 pounds is incredible! As we get older, shedding those extra pounds becomes even more challenging, and it’s definitely not easy. I’m so proud of you!
Next Chapter: Is there anything new or exciting coming up in your life that you’d like to share?
My podcast, “iremember.love Love Cast Podcast and Meditations,” is gaining popularity, and I have a growing customer base for my apparel line. I’m excited about future opportunities.
Next Chapter: If you could rewrite part of your story, what would you change?
I wouldn’t change anything. I understand why things unfolded as they did. Without the challenges, such as my experiences with alcoholism, I wouldn’t appreciate life the way I do now.
Next Chapter: What words of wisdom would you pass on to those coming up behind you?
Remember to slow down and take exceptional care of yourself. Frequent check-ins with your body, mind, and spirit will benefit you and those around you. Create your own narrative for your life—nothing is “supposed” to be a certain way.
Next Chapter: What are your thoughts on aging—does it excite you, worry you, or something else?
I am excited! Age is simply a number, and I feel fresh and new as I embrace my authentic self.
Next Chapter: Is there anyone you’d like to give a shoutout to for helping you along the way—like a mentor, friend, family member, or even a publication?
I’d like to thank my husband, Jeff, who has supported me throughout my journey, including during my struggles with alcohol. His patience and love have been invaluable.
Next Chapter: Thank you so much for the interview! Congratulations on your amazing accomplishment—it’s truly inspiring. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you!
